Open Deck is the part of PORTAL 8 reserved for new talent. We don't just pick who opens for international headliners — we build structures that let emerging artists record, film, perform, and grow inside a professional environment.
The program is open to regional artists working across curated electronic spectra: house, techno, melodic, organic, downtempo, and adjacent.
Performance Opportunities
Open-deck slots before headline sets, full warm-up rooms, and emerging-talent showcases programmed across the season.
Recording & Mixing
Recorded mixes for the PORTAL 8 Sessions series, plus session files you can use on SoundCloud, YouTube, and your own channels.
Content Creation
Cinematic video capture of your set — TikTok-cuts, Instagram reels, and a long-form film you keep ownership of.
Community & Mentorship
Get into a working network with regional founders, residents, and visiting artists who pass through PORTAL 8.

Send your latest mix, Soundcloud / Youtube link, and a short bio. We listen to every submission.
Get reviewed
Our team reviews monthly. Selected artists are invited for an in-room listen, technical run-through, and short interview.
